the title says it all. on april 12th, i attended a concert on the syracuse campus which comprised of the Roots and the opener Common. it was an amazing experience. the Roots, who i have gained more and more appreciation for over the years, is probably one of the best touring acts out there. they played straight to their hardcore fans, i only wish i knew enough of their stuff to be one. but they did play 'the seed 2.0', 'you got me', and 'the next movement' along with a slew of cover songs that were utterly insane. these included 'whole lotta love', 'ironman', and 'seven nation army'. CRAZY. common worked the crowd very well with his mojo and his DJ was a true master....
last night i attended a show headlined by the Starting Line, but starred Mae and Armor For Sleep. we arrived on time, or so we thought, but the high schoolers and teenagers were out in full force and we ended up with a less than desirable spot. armor for sleep, i thought, was not particularly amazing. videos i have seen of them before seemed to be better. but mae came up next and rocked it. their first song seemed sloppy but they seemed to get on the same page by the 2nd. a video is below with a clip of them playing 'suspension'. i hoped my friends appreciated them as much as i did, but i believe they played better in march when i saw them. anyways, check out the video and pictures (although they are few) and tell me what you think....

i personally think that the last mae song was the awesomest.
very much so.
i should send you the videos since you...
erased them!
heh.
